Help
For account, recording or billing questions, email support@frictionlogged.com. Include what happened; you don’t need to share a recording.
How does rewind work?
Leave the Mac app running with screen access enabled. After something goes wrong, press your configured shortcut to save the preceding 30 or 60 seconds. The default is ⌃⌥⌘F. Saving starts the hosted report workflow; you do not need to start a recording before the bug.
What leaves my Mac?
Unsaved screen history stays in memory. When your Mac is connected, the report shortcut uploads the saved clip, endpoint images, your note and capture metadata right away. There is no separate review step before upload. Choose Save clip without a report in the Mac menu to keep a clip local. Reports start private. A public link shares the full recording as well as the write-up and key frames. Read the privacy policy for details.
How much does it cost?
Your first ten completed reports are free. No card, time limit or automatic charge. After that, creating more costs $30 USD a year, renewing annually until canceled. You can submit up to 100 new reports or retries per day, resetting at midnight UTC. Failed reports do not spend your ten-report free allowance.
Can I get the raw recording?
Use Download recording on a report, or Open clips folder in the Mac app for saved local clips. Save important copies before deleting a report. Cloud deletion does not remove local files.
What if a report fails?
Your saved recording stays on your Mac. Follow the retry action in the app after addressing any connection or account message. Each recording gets up to three processing attempts. If macOS stopped screen capture, check Privacy & Security → Screen & System Audio Recording, then reopen the app if macOS asks. A report can contain mistakes even when generation succeeds; review it against the video.
How do I revoke sharing?
Open Share on your report. Remove an invited person or disable its public link. These are separate permissions: disabling a link does not remove invited viewers. Revocation prevents new access, but cannot retrieve someone’s downloaded copy.
How do I report harmful content or a security issue?
Email support@frictionlogged.com with the Frictionlogged report URL and a brief explanation. You can report content even if you do not own it. For a security issue, describe what happened privately. Do not send passwords, access tokens or harmful material as attachments. We may ask for limited details to investigate; you do not need to send the full recording.
How do I cancel?
Open Your plan, then Manage subscription. Cancel renewal before the next annual charge. Existing reports stay available; paid generation normally continues until the paid-through date. For billing errors or refund requests, email support@frictionlogged.com.
How do I delete my account or request my data?
Email privacy@frictionlogged.com from your account address. We verify requests before acting. Account closure is currently handled by support. You can delete individual reports yourself. Cancel subscription renewal separately and remove local recordings from your Mac if you no longer want them.
I signed up. Where’s the Mac app?
Download the Mac app and follow the setup steps. Frictionlogged is currently an invite-only macOS beta; creating an account does not grant beta access.
